Shiplist And Combat (Configuration)
old VESAC(C) - shiplist:
To keep the races more balanced a new hullspec.dat should be used ( - but you do not
have to). We suggest the following changes:
Freighters:
The smaller freighters should be given more cargoroom.
Warships:
Fascist/Privateer: D7a Painmaker Class Cruiser:
This ship was changed in order the Fascist needs a cheap ship with a big cargoroom for
Pillage Mission.
Fascist: Victorious Class Battleship:
This ship was too weak. So we gave him two more torpedo-tubes and you will not have to
build so many ships with glory device to defend yourself.
Crystalline: Onyx Class Frigate:
The Onyx is a very expensive terraformer. With additional cargoroom (24 now) it
furthermore can be used to lay minefields more effectively while heating.
Rebel/Colonial: Patriot Class Light Carrier:
With the new battle configuration the Patriot became a very strong warship (engine shield
bonus), even with only 5 bays he was too strong for his costs. So we decided to give him a
second engine.
Colonial: Scorpius Class Light Carrier:
The Colonial had only this ship as a middle class warship, however it had only 4 beams and
2 bays, though it required nearly as many minerals as a Virgo. So nobody earnestly would
build this ship. So we gave more weapons and lower mineral costs to that ship.
Evil Empire:
We changed many names, cause the Empire is not the USSR, and nearly every warship was a
Super Star ... .
Furthermore we gave the Super Star Cruiser 2 additional fighterbays, cause there was
nearly no difference to the Super Star Carrier
